What is Soft Disconnect from a Network in Windows 10?

When Windows feels that the computer is no longer using the Network, then it decides to disconnect it, and thus, it gets disconnected from the Network. In simple terms, this is Soft Disconnect. If you want to go for deep understanding, follow the below points to understand its working.

  • When the Windows decides that the Network should no longer need to be connected, it informs the Transmission Control Protocol.
  • This information sent to the TCP then generates an interruption.
  • Then the interruption generated lasts for approx 30 seconds.
  • Finally, the Network gets disconnected.

This was the Soft Disconnect algorithm works. Now continue to Disable this thing.
